Search Warrant & Kinaxis Win at the CMA Awards

We’re thrilled to announce we just won CMA awards in 3 different categories: Innovative Media, Marketing Technology, and LinkedIn B2B Marketing.

The Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) recognizes the best in Canadian Marketing annually with the CMA Awards.

  • The Innovative Media award celebrates successful marketers who reimagined how their customers should interact with their brands.
  • The Marketing Technology award celebrates those marketers who leveraged marketing technology to grow faster and improve revenue.
  • The LinkedIn B2B marketing award is given to those marketers who successfully leveraged LinkedIn for B2B.

Search Warrant submitted a successful campaign under the name Zero-Friction Conversion to Revenue, created alongside long-time client, Kinaxis. Kinaxis and Search Warrant have a long history together creating and their campaigns are being recognized. In July the same program earned a Global Search Award – for Best Use of Search in the B2B PPC arena.

The Making of an Award-Winning Campaign

Kinaxis is a Canadian supply chain vendor with a niche B2B audience of some of the largest enterprises in the world. A niche, hard-to-reach audience meant that we needed laser targeting to attain our target KPIs and deliver high ROI. LinkedIn offers comprehensive targeting capabilities. Our approach on LinkedIn resulted in Kinaxis outperforming their peers by nearly 3x (which is why we think we were named a finalist in the LinkedIn B2B category and awarded silver). Our campaign was so successful, even LinkedIn reached out to learn more about how it was done.

The numbers tell the tale of this targeting success story, said Leigh Anderson, Account Executive for LinkedIn. Kinaxis and Search Warrant are leaders at making meaningful connections with their select audience across the LinkedIn platform.

We achieved these great results by embracing native lead forms, which is still a rather new capability on LinkedIn (which is why we think we were named a finalist in the Innovative Media category and awarded bronze).

Most people won’t share their contact information right away—it requires multiple interactions to establish some trust. LinkedIn also limits how many times a member sees the same ad to avoid appearing ‘spammy’. So, we developed multiple ad variations with compelling messages sent to our niche audience on their phones. We also included a seamless conversion experience through a native lead form, which was a slick use of marketing technology (and why we think we were named a finalist in the Marketing Technology category and awarded bronze).

One ad variation for Kinaxis with a compelling offer to receive an ebook.

Native lead form with a manual work email field added.

Of course, we wouldn’t have won this award without hand-in-glove collaboration with a great team at Kinaxis. So, Congratulations to the Kinaxis and Search Warrant teams!

2022 has been a banner year for awards at Search Warrant, building on previous wins in 2021 and 2020 despite the pandemic:
